12th Southern African Plant Breeding Symposium 2018

  June 19, 2017

The 12th Southern African Plant Breeding Symposium will be held in Durban 12-14 March 2018.

The 12th Southern African Plant Breeding Symposium will be held from 11-15 March 2018 at Gateway Hotel, Umhlanga. As the capacity and availability of technology increases so does the potential to use these in the field of Plant Breeding. A group of leading international and local scientists have been invited as keynote speakers to share some of these applications in the Plant Breeding field.

The cost of the attendance has been kept as low as possible with favourable room rates (starting at R1511.70 per room per night, including Breakfast for 2 People) that have been negotiated at the symposium venue, and symposium registration costs are kept as low as possible starting at R1 880. (Gala dinner excluded). To boost the attendance and participation by students, full time registered students who successfully submit an oral presentation will be granted free registration. Registration fees for full time registered students who successfully submit poster contributions will be reduced to R1 000.
